I somehow don't get the point. Isn't the dashboard just a webpage with a collection of icons that opens a link in a new tab? I would hardly call this "installation", even if you wrap Prism around it
The WebAPI project sounds interesting but it seems to be mobile only, apparently no plans to do real desktop-integration. On the site of the project the mentioned filesystem API is backed down to having W3Cs FileReader/Writer in Firefox. Is there a chance to enhance that API without learning C/C++?

You raise some really interesting points, however I think there is one thing you missed, and it is actually quite pertinent. You said the following:

"and for good reason: it is damn [sic] hard to pull off."

When in fact it should have been "...damned hard..."

Let me explain. "Damn" in itself is actually a verb. I damn you, and you damn me, etc. For some reason I consistently find it being used as an adjective without any kind of modification at all. Though I understand that this is due to the common usage and the overall loss of the -d suffix, like in "Iced Cream" and how it becomes "Ice Cream". The cream has been Iced, people. However, Anant, I am certainly correct in saying that you call it "Mashed Potatoes" rather than "Mash Potatoes", so just for the sake of total consistency, you should most likely call it "damned hard". By the way, what the hell is your damned post about?

There is a problem with the assumptions of the author. The author assumes that the old ones were all deeply religious, and criticism of the religious views are a modern phenomenon. The simple fact is that this is not true. There were many people at that time who challenged the status quo. If I take Hinduism (too general a term) for an example, see the Carvaka philosophy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C4%81rv%C4%81ka).

There has always been a need to explain the inexplicable. When the author says that we are a part of the whole and it is not possible to understand the whole through logic, I have to ask, is there another way? If there is, why are there so many? Which one to choose? How do I know if the one I chose is the right way? Humans have progressed throughout history using nothing but logic. Its logic that has saved him from falling prey in the stone age, its logic thats enabling me to communicate with you now. If one studies history, there are many points in which a superstitious thought has been invalidated through logic. This logic, is today known by a different name, "Science".

I've taken weed. It makes me high. After puffing on more than 2 joints, I feel like I know everything. All my doubts literally fade away. I can write a thought provoking book then. But the fact remains, that after sobering up and analyzing my morbid thoughts rationally, I realize how stupid it was.

There are many things that we do not know. Scientists try hard enough to decipher universe's secrets. They haven't claimed that they know everything. Somebody claiming to know stuff should back it up with concrete logic. Anything else is mere hand waving.
